Şanlıurfa's Bozova district governor found dead in home...
District governor of Bozova Caner Akgün was found dead in his home in the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa on Thursday.
District Governor Akgün is thought to have committed suicide. Upon hearing a gun fire, Akgün's neighbors came to his home and found him dead. Şanlıurfa Governor Celalettin Güvenç immediately travelled to Bozova upon hearing the news of Akgün's death.
The 31-year-old Akgün was married and had a child. He had served as Bozova district governor for more than a year.
In a similar incident in June, Orhan Balcı, the district governor of Havran in the western province of Balıkesir, was found shot dead on Wednesday. District Governor Balcı is also suspected of having committed suicide.
